Udaipur was the historical kingdom of Mewar in the former Rajputana agency. Due to this, it is superfluous with Rajput-era history, scenic locations and culture. Udaipur was votes as the best city in the world by a travel magazine and is fondly called as “Venice of the east”.
The lake palace set in the middle of lake pichola is undoubtedly the most mesmerizing site of the city. There are many famous lakes in Udaipur, including the Jaisamand lake which is the biggest artificial lake of Asia. Other famous tourist attractions include the Monsoon Palace, Lake Palace, Jag Mandir, Fateh Sagar Lake and Bagore ki Haveli.
